Charity level

Maimonides, often called by his acronym RaMBaM (Rabbi Moshe Ben Maimon), was a 12th century Jewish scholar and physician. Rambam wrote a code of Jewish law, the Mishnah Torah, based on the Rabbinic oral tradition.
And here is the level from the highest order;-
1. The highest form of charity is to help sustain a person before they become impoverished by offering a substantial gift in a dignified manner, or by extending a suitable loan, or by helping them find employment or establish themselves in business so as to make it unnecessary for them to become dependent on others
2. When the donor and recipient are unknown to each other.

3. When the donor is aware of the recipient's identity, but the recipient is unaware of the source.

4. When the recipient is aware of the donor's identity, but the donor does not know the identity of the recipient.

5. When one gives directly to the poor without being asked.

We should change the ways we give out and not necessarily expect the same to return whatever giving out is good but there is a level that says a lot.

Prenatal genetic screening

Would you term it "inevitable move" or "crossing the line", if you can choose the physical traits or designs a baby?. Well, this is going to happen in reality soon if US based fertility clinic had its way. You soon can able to choose your baby skin's colour, select characteristics like eye and hair colour, pattern whats more, even eliminate several disease long before the baby is born or in the foetus stage.

Cause it ensure a baby is born healthy. Critics argued that we should be too much interfering with natural process and that would be unethical move. Moreover, would have possible consequences like the notion of racial purity, or restricted to a certain section because of its high cost

But most people support the idea and terms its as a "inevitable move" . Building a better, healthier baby ensuring a formed figure and would prevent a number of disease. One such instance  is the introduction of IVF(in vitro fertilisation) . It was considered unnatural, but IVF surprisingly had found many taker and acceptance, It also offer parenthood to a number of childless couple without it it might never experience its joy in its natural scheme of things

Social Networking

With countless online social networking sites, There has been a sea of change in the way we see ourselves, interact with other and participate in the wider society.

In that sense, online soccial networking are very liberating. It transform and revlutionize the way people extend what i called "socialization".Web 2.0 tools like wiki which are open-ended platform that invite horizontal participation in problem-solving and has transform the ways people works.
Networking for instance, played a significant role in Obama's election campaign. Which had rigorous impact in penetrating people across the geographical distance. The response he got itwas overwhelming, most of his donation were from online donation. He maintained his sites which served as an efective tools to connect with people. The latest trends being folowed by LK Advani but not as successfull as Obama.

Early social networking sites like Friendster, were launced in 2002, But the big explosion came with MySpace and Facebook in the west, Orkut in Asian and Brazil, yaba in Australia, Cyworld in korea and the list is endless.Facebook was started as a college social networking sites in Harvard university. it later expanded to other universities. And when it adopted an 'open signup' policy, its growth soared worldwide.

There are some diffrence between Asian and the West, so far in the way people interact on social networking sitesis concerned. In the West the general approach is relatively open. People often join networking and share many details of their personal and professional live openly on their sites. In Asia , by contrast people generally limits the amounts of details they post online due to secutiy reason or the other.

Should there be a market for Organ?

A doctor proposed a novel solution to a mother, whose son needed a kidney transplant by donating one of his son kidney to a stranger, so that her son would move to the top of the kidney waiting list. Soon the patients had the transplant they were waiting for, trading a kidney for a kidney.

As a matter of public policy, people are not allowed to sell their organ. The deal in the above case did not felt under the prohibition because no cash is exchange.

Donation of organ would be ethical and moral move when G-d itself first tranplsnt Adams ribs into Eve!
Most deceased organ donors are brain dead Brain death can be confusing, particularly for families who are confronted with the sudden death of someone they love because a brain dead person on a ventilator can feel warm to the touch and can look "alive." The heart is still beating and the ventilator is pushing oxygen and air into the lungs making the person's chest rise and fall. But to be brain dead is to be dead, and no improvement or recovery is possible.

How much is the value of life worth?

Lalu dolled out Rs 5 lacs to each lives lost in the recent Orissa train accident. It makes sense about how mush is the value of life in terms of money. One approach sometime used by courts to award damage in wrongful death suits, is to looks at the total amounts of money a person would have earned if he or she had lived. But it has some bizarre implication that the life of a retired or disabled person has no value.
A better ways to value human life is to look at the risk that people are voluntarily willing to take and how much they must be paid for taking them.Construction worker face riskier than Office worker do.By comparing wages in risky and less risky occupation and other determinant, the value of human life is worth $10 millions.

Going green or brown

US president Barack Obama's energy plan to greater use of ethanol, aiming to cut dependence on oil might worsen the situation. For production of ethanol millions of tonnes of crops like maize, sugarcane is needed, which if, the plan really takes off, it is likely that a huge chunks of farmers might switch to production of these crops which, eventually would led to increase in global food prices( because the production of other varieties of crops will decrease, which will increase demand and ultimately push the prices up) and India's situation wouldn't be better off either. Where growing sugarcane is water intensive and increased production of the crops is going to deplete the water level, which is already dangerously low. Add to this large scale diversion of land which could affects others production, of course deforestation. It could pump far more CO2 into the atmosphere than they possibly save as replacement for fossils fuel. But the success story of Brazil which practice the concept has reduced the country dependency on oils and cleaned up the transport industry to a great extent. One innovation could offers a solution, that could significantly cut down the world dependence on oil and save the planet, that is Electric car and the other option being Hydrogen car
